“Reading one book is like eating one potato chip.” – Diane Duane
When I was a child, I never went far without a book. At one stage, I think I knew my secondary school library better than I knew the school layout, but that's for another day. After a lot of soul searching, wondering what I could do to help me relax, it hit me. While I may not have 'found the time' to pick up a book as I worked my way to my mid-twenties, I had never lost my love for reading, I had simply just forgotten it existed. Since the beginning of 2019, I don't think I've stopped reading, and while I should be writing my own book, I thought maybe sharing some good books couldn't hurt anyone.
I will be as honest as my Hufflepuff heart will allow, I'll say sorry now for the repeated references, I love you, Harry Potter. While I don't imagine it will ever arise, I will also be transparent about gifts, paid ads and more.
So, let us sit back, relax with a coffee or tea and open a good book, and see where we end up along the way.
